On 26 February, voters in Gorton and Denton will head to the polls in a key by-election. As the race tightens between Labour, Reform UK and the Greens, it’s crucial we keep up the pressure to defend progressive environmental values and stop misinformation and division.
Labour remains the only party with a realistic path to beating Reform and stopping a surge by parties that will stop our environmental progress. Winning here will send a powerful message that communities value practical, positive action on climate, jobs and energy security – not empty rhetoric or backward-looking politics.
