SERA is launching Ground Truth – a new, urgent and absolutely essential programme – and we need your support to make it happen.
This Labour Government was elected with a clear mandate for fast progress on clean energy, nature restoration and environmental fairness.
But right now, across the UK, Reform is feeding off anger and frustration and pouring “net zero” lies into the very communities that could benefit most from environmental progress.
This is a moment of real danger for climate and environmental justice. The fossil-fuel and billionaire-backed Reform project is determined to reverse progress, tear up agreements, scrap protections, “drill baby drill” and end any chance we have of building a greener, fairer future.

What Ground Truth Will Do
Ground Truth is SERA’s plan to support campaigns directly in the places where the threat from Reform is sharpest.
We know we have something more powerful than Reform’s dirty money and lies: the truth.
The overwhelming majority of people in Britain still want climate action. They want good jobs, lower bills, cleaner air and cleaner water. They want a greener, better future for themselves, their families and the places they love.
Ground Truth will help local activists lift up those voices by telling the truth about:
- the climate impacts communities are already living with,
- the pride and opportunity created by real progress on clean energy and nature,
- and the simple fact that Reform’s politics of fear has no answers for any of it.
How Ground Truth Works
In 2026, SERA will run Ground Truth pilot campaigns in key constituencies across the UK. These will combine:
- activist training,
- local research,
- and storytelling development
to amplify what matters most to people on the ground.
This is about building trust, strengthening Labour’s environmental mission and ensuring that climate action becomes a winning issue where the stakes are highest.
But to make this happen, we need you.
We Need to Raise £20,000
Ground Truth will not be funded by secretive donors or global corporations. It relies on SERA members and supporters who understand the stakes and refuse to surrender this ground to Reform.
Every donation – even a small one – will go directly into powering the work that pushes back against Reform and secures a Labour environmental agenda rooted in real communities and real voices
