‘Brexit and the implications for the environment’: Keir Starmer MP speech

Sir Keir Starmer MP, the Shadow Exiting Europe Secretary, will give his first major speech on the implications for the environment through Britain leaving the Europe Union to SERA: Labour’s environment campaign.

The speech is taking place, after the SERA AGM, on 26 November at the Guide Hall, Coram Fields, 93 Guildford St, London, WC1N 1DN.

The venue, Coram Fields, is a children’s park, small city farm and environmental space.

Many of our environmental protections and standards have come through European laws, and laws that Britain had a prominent hand in creating. Brexit has implications for wildlife protections, biodiversity, habitats, beaches, fishing and farming, climate change, and environmental standards in industry, business and energy.
